Twenty-two-year-old GK consulted me, with his parents, for homeopathic treatment of constant headache, on his GP’s advice. His headache would start the moment he was out in the sun, or when any one irked him, or after eating sweets and potato chips. GK was also predisposed to having a queasy sensation; he’d sometimes feel like puking and, thereafter, get edgy as a result.
His parents told me that he was often restless and ‘complained’ of flatulence and constipation. I conversed with his mother, at length, to decrypt the homeopathic aspect of her son’s symptoms, as GK could not quite comprehend them. This was because he would just say, yes, and no, and no and yes, for everything, in the regard.
GK loved chocolates, cheese and meat; this would, perforce, trigger his headache, albeit I was not quite sure with the interpretation. He, however, had a strong aversion for milk and dairy products. I reckoned he was most likely belligerent, when things weren’t going the way he wanted them to.
He was intolerant and got vexed easily. He loved courtesy and was distressed when he’d not get adequate attention. He would squabble, but would ‘say sorry’ soon after. He was convinced, sort of, that people would forgive him just as swiftly.
He could not sit in one place, albeit he had a participative inclination for extracurricular and other activities. He was, perhaps, average in studies, but had a ready wit and good grasp for things.
I prescribed him the homeopathic remedy, Lycopodium clavatum 200C, along with multivitamin, magnesium and pre/probiotic supplements. His progress was a tad slow. It took about four months of treatment for his headaches to subside and his wobbly, nervous temperament to improve.
Case-2
Thirty-eight-year-old JA suffered from acid reflux. The disorder had troubled her for 3-4 years. She was on conventional treatment. Tired of sustained medications, she met me, looking for a long-lasting, effective solution.
During case-analysis, JA reported that she had restive nights because of the reflux. There was extreme burning in the chest — she had to take ice cold water to relieving it. There was also a constant vomiting feeling; she ‘induced’ vomiting to ‘throwing it out.’ She was fond of sour things, but she dodged them out of fear of annoying her acidity. She loved ice-cream, much more than anything else.
JA was diabetic, also hypertensive [high blood pressure], for which she was on conventional treatment. She was an outgoing, yet guarded, person by temperament. She also complained of prolonged sleeplessness.
After case-analysis, I put her on the homeopathic remedy, Phosphorus 200C, along with two supplements, magnesium 400mg, and coenzyme-10 [CoQ10], 120mg. I advised her to monitor her blood sugar and blood pressure levels regularly.
Her health improved noticeably after three months, following treatment. Her blood sugar and blood pressure levels also showed reasonable improvement. She was able to sleep well — although the vomiting feeling still persisted, its intensity being, of course, no longer what it was earlier. Her periods were now ‘normal’ too and, more importantly, she appeared calm and acquiescent. She was, as she reported, also better able to ‘feel all right’ with people in social get-togethers, unlike previously.
